American singer Marc Anthony has joined the increasing list of celebrities who have taken to bashing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump over the course of the last few days.
During a sold-out performance at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, the singer summed up his view towards Trump in an emphatically concise manner when he exclaimed, much to the delight of the raucous crowd, the following words:
“F**k Donald Trump!”
This was after Marc Anthony had expressed pride at being a member of the Hispanic community, saying he was a Latino living in America and was very proud of his roots.
“I really want you guys to know: I’m proud to be born and f***ing raised in New York City. I’m proud to be f***ing Puerto Rican. I’m Latino in the U.S.A…. No matter where we come from, we’re Latinos. We have to take care of each other. There’s only one f***ing box to check.”Unsurprisingly, the crowd — comprising mostly of Hispanics — took warmly to Anthony’s expletive-ridden tirade towards Donald Trump, cheering him on as he had one more message for the Republican candidate before wrapping up the show. “Wake that motherf***er up!” he concluded, to more cheering from the crowd.
There was a standing ovation involved too.
