In the early days of 2016, Davido hinted at the possibility of a new addition to his ‘HKN’ record label.
Davido had promised that the new addition would win the ‘next rated award at the Headies’ in 2016.
So yesterday, the singer took to Instagram to introduce the new act, and lo and behold, it was Mayokun, an Afro pop singer who earlier this year, covered the HKN star’s Money single.
Mayokun had posted the video on Instagram which led to Davido taking interest in him.
Interestingly, Mayokun who is a graduate of the University of Lagos, is the son of popular Yoruba movie actress Toyin Adewale.
