It's actually pointless, because when you fake an orgasm, not only do you deprive yourself of one, you're not helping your partner because he doesn't know he has failed you.
1. She doesn’t want to hurt your ego
As a macho man who is convinced of his prowess and virility, she may not want to bruise your ego. Especially if you’ve really put in ‘work’, trying to please her, she may not want to dash your lofty dreams by telling you that you aren’t really doing anything for her. Instead, after some minutes of you sweating and laboring atop her, she will just howl like a banshee and pretend to have reached the heights of ecstasy. Of course you’ll roll off her feeling fulfilled. Sham.
2. She knows it won’t happen at that time
Orgasms are different for men and women. While men would reach orgasms every other time, and with just about anything you do to them, for women, it takes much more than their body being touched the right way. She isn’t likely to cum if something is bothering her mind, or if she’s had a horrible day. Sometimes her body just refuses to cooperate. On such days, she may find it easier to fake it rather than explain to you that it won’t happen at all. Especially if she knows you will only try harder if she tells you that, so she just chooses the easy way out and screams your name at the top of her voice so you can get off her.

When you’ve been pounding away for eons and she’s starting to dry up, she might want nothing more than you unfusing your fused body parts. If she knows she’s starting to get sore and dry, she doesn’t want to chaff down there - trust me, it’s painful. So again, she takes the coward’s way out; scratching your back and giving you a hickey for good measure. Of course you’ll be feeling fly, walking on air and not suspecting deceit for a second.
4. She's never had one, and she's embarrassed
Sometimes she'll fake an orgasm because it's easier than telling you that she's never actually had one. You'll be surprised at the number of women who have been sexually active for years, yet they've never reached orgasm. They don't want to appear inexperienced or naive, so they fake it. However, fake it till you make it doesn't work with orgasms, so it's not surprising that these women are still walking around with half fulfilled sexual fantasies.
5. You did something wrong
You know when she’s very very close to the edge and she breathlessly whispers ‘don’t stop’. Yes, don’t stop means just that – don’t stop. Not do it faster. Not do it more vigorously. Not increase the tempo. Just keep at exactly what you’re doing and in 30 seconds you’ll send her over the edge. But many times, guys just switch the tempo and ruin it. They either increase the pace or do something completely different and ruin the orgasm for her. Then she’s so upset she just pretends she’s done so she can be rid of your disobedient self. While you’re patting yourself on the back for a job well done, she’s probably finishing it off by herself in the bathroom.

When it’s neither of the previously listed reasons, then she’s faking an orgasm for the simple reason that your sex game is wack. You’re not doing anything for her; she’s not feeling you; she’s regretting giving it up; she’s decided you’re a waste of body count. So she just aborts this misery by pretending this is the best sex of her life. She screams, howls, grabs at the sheets and pretends she’s having a seizure, and then she deletes your number the moment she puts her clothes back on. While you of course, thinking you made a good impression are making plans for a next time that will never happen.
